Who are we?
A. FASHIONCLASH Foundation (FC) organizes 'Mensen dragen Mensen’ (People Carry People) for Heiligdomsvaart 2025.
B. Participant is anyone who takes part in one or more 'Ommegangen' (Processions) of Heiligdomsvaart 2025.
What do we mean by...?
Event: Heiligdomsvaart 2025, a cultural event on Sunday 15 June and Sunday 22 June 2025 in Maastricht.
Ommegang: a procession as part of Heiligdomsvaart 2025 in Maastricht. FC is part of 2 Processions of Heiligdomsvaart 2025.
Participant: You! (Or your child, if you're reading these terms as a parent/guardian.)
1. When and how can you participate?
1.1 Heiligdomsvaart 2025 takes place in Maastricht on Sunday 15 June and Sunday 22 June 2025. A Ommegang takes place on both days. The Ommegang on Sunday 22 June 2025 partly takes place on a boat, sailing on the river Maas.
1.2 Participating the Event is free of charge.
1.3 Registration for one or both Processions is mandatory through FC's website.
1.4 You will not receive any travel expenses or other compensation for costs incurred.
2. What is expected of you?
2.1 You are available for the Ommegang on Sunday 15 June and Sunday 22 June, OR only for the Ommegang on Sunday 15 June.
2.2 You are available on Thursday 17 April (18:00 - 21:00) for the kick-off of the Event., If you cannot attend the kick-off, you can still participate in the Ommegang(en) by walking and carrying a textile object or flag.
2.3 The outfit and/or object that you will wear during the Ommegang(en) will be created during workshops, organized by FC.
2.4 It's helpful if you are available for the try-on of an outfit and/or object that you will wear during the Ommegang(en), but this is not mandatory.
2.5 If you are not available for a try-on of an outfit and/or object, FC may ask you to provide your own blue outfit.
2.6 If there are not enough outfits available, FC may also ask you to provide your own blue outfit.
2.7 FC decides what will be worn during both Ommegangen, to ensure everything looks cohesive as one entity. This will always be discussed with you, the Participant, in advance.
3. Your data and privacy
3.1 When you participate, we ask you to share certain information with us, such as your name and contact details.
3.2 We only use this information for the organization and promotion of the Event. Sometimes we share it with partners, but only if necessary for the Event.
3.3 Your data may be used to inform you about similar future activities and projects by FC.
3.4 We do not keep your data longer than necessary and follow the rules of the GDPR (privacy legislation).
4. Photos and videos
4.1 Photos and videos may be taken during the Event. We may use these for our website, social media, or promotional materials.
4.2 If you are under 18 years old, we need permission from your parent(s) or guardian(s) to use these images. You can provide this permission in the registration form on FC's website.
5. Who is responsible for what?
FC, its partners, and sponsors are not responsible for damage or loss of belongings, or if something happens to your belongings because of someone else.
6. Behavior and safety
6.1 We believe it's important that everyone behaves in a friendly and respectful manner during the Event. This means:
Being kind to other participants and FC staff.
Taking proper care of the outfits, objects, and the location.
Inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated. If someone does not follow the rules, they may be asked to leave.
Following the rules of FC and the Event.
6.2 If you don't feel safe or if there is any inappropriate behavior, please talk to someone from FC.
7. Rules and agreements
7.1 Dutch law applies to everything related to the Event.
7.2 If a problem arises that we cannot resolve together, it will be discussed at the competent court in Maastricht.
