They Seem Bored With The Whole Thing

Olivia Sahl Jensen is mainly fascinated by the role of in theatre in conveying humour and drama. By combining the aspects of theatre, fashion and art, they hope to expand the boundaries within the cooperation of each mentioned work fields. They aim to do so by mainly focussing on collaborative community practices and walk the grey lines between humour, sincerity, joy and vulnerability.

‘They Seem Bored With The Whole Thing’ is inspired by theatre and its staging of reality and fiction. The work displays a performance of two people who are interacting with a stage curtain. The stage curtain creates not only a division between front and back, but also between the private and public, on stage or in real life.

The curtain’s fabric has been supplied by Het Zonnehuis in Amsterdam. This project was created in collaboration with Sojourna Jon-Paul and performers Stella Oort, Caroline Charef, August Kroon Andersson and Domenik Naue.
