Eva Immerzeel
ongebonden
The collection ‘ongebonden’, explores the emotion behind living and trying to connect with attachment anxiety. She worked with a mix of materials; from very fragile knits to stiff thick fabrics. Those knits refer to the fragile connections between two people, which can be quickly loosened. The thick stiff fabrics symbolize a wall that can be erected to keep someone out. In addition, natural latex is a recurring material in the collection. The temporary connections that latex makes when it is dried are reminiscent of the intentionally brief relationships that a person with attachment anxiety enters into.
